EC10_8W_2W

maxon motor Australia would like to inform its customers of the discontinuation of the motor types EC 10 and EC 13, as well as the resulting last order and delivery dates.

Affected products

The discontinuation affects the following motors, modification variants, and combinations in which they are used:

  • EC 10, 8 W
  • EC 13, 6 W
  • EC 13, 12 W

Part numbers of the relevant base motors:

Some customised versions of the EC 10 and EC 13 motor types are not affected by this discontinuation. These exceptions are not based on the catalogue versions listed here, do not contain the obsolete TLE sensor, and are modified versions unique to the individual customers.

Discontinuation details

The EC 10 and EC 13 motors have not been listed in our catalogue or standard portfolio for 3 and 6 years respectively, and therefore have the life cycle status “NRND.”

Additionally, the affected motors contain the discontinued TLE4945 Hall sensors, which can no longer be reliably used on the respective printed circuit boards. For these reasons, the EC 10 and EC 13 motors will be removed from our portfolio.

The following timelines will be observed:

  • Last orders: February 28, 2026
  • Last deliveries: November 30, 2026

These deadlines are binding and must be observed to avoid potential supply issues.

Alternatives

The corresponding motors of the ECX SPEED series are available as a replacement for the EC 10 and EC 13 motors. The ECX SPEED motors are configurable units, available in a range of modifications. They can be combined with a variety of gearbox variants from the GPX series. An integrated encoder can also be added on the connection side without increasing the overall motor length.
